About Mishima
During the Edo period, Mishima flourished as a post town along the Tokaido road connecting Edo (Tokyo) and Kyoto. Mishima offers excellent access not only to Mt. Fuji but also to famous destinations like Hakone and the Izu Peninsula resort areas. The city itself is known as a town of clear, flowing streams. Visitors can experience attractions like Japan's longest suspension bridge, the Mishima Skywalk, and fruit picking at the Izu Fruit Park. Historical highlights include Mishima Grand Shrine and Rakujuen Garden.
