Cruise with extended stay of 3 days:
|
This extension begins with a trip to Biarritz, a once sleepy fishing village that is now an upscale seaside resort town, where guests will be welcomed at a four-star hotel with a welcome cocktail.
The first excursion is a full-day trip to the French Basque Country, starting in Espelette, a small city known for its mildly hot peppers, which are a cornerstone of French Basque cuisine. After a traditional Basque lunch, guests will tour Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, a charming village in the heart of the Pyrenees named one of the most beautiful villages in France, and visit the Irouléguy wine cellars for a tasting.
The second day includes a guided tour of old Bayonne,
including a visit to a salted-meat workshop. The day ends with a
traditional Basque meal at a local cider house before boarding the ship. |
